Meet our UX Designer

Meet one of the latest additions to the Engine B team – our talented UX Designer, Chanel Williams.

Describe your role at Engine B

As a User experience designer at Engine B, I am responsible for collecting, researching, investigating, evaluating and communicating to the wider team our users requirements. Through a variety of tools I gain insight into clients’ pain points and motivations.

What does a typical day look like?

A typical day at Engine B follows a traditional agile process. It starts with a team meeting in the morning and is followed by a variety of different tasks such as researching and implementing creative initiatives informed by user centric design and industry advancements. This can take the form of brainstorming, prototyping, asset development and product development documentation.

A core part of my day is spent ensuring that we are keeping the user in mind during all aspects of the research and development process. This means we are able to address their pain points and understand their needs.

In an average day, I would have a variety of meetings communicating with stakeholders and/or clients to gain insight or share design concepts.

What has been the most interesting Engine B project you’ve been involved in so far?

I have enjoyed many of the opportunities Engine B has afforded me. In particular, I have really liked being part of the team that is focused on developing the Engine B brand and our visual identity.

What do you enjoy most about working at EB?

I have really enjoyed supporting the team in developing and enhancing agile processes, as well as being able to explore and interact with auditors to develop personas. Mostly, I love that at Engine B I’m part of a research team that is striving to be a leader in the development of unique digital products.
